  1. Did you know that in order to receive notifications that someone has responded to your topic, you need to tap/click the 'Follow Topic' button in the lower left corner of your screen as you're posting a new topic?

    1820326344_ScreenShot2022-04-01at11_25_19PM.png.597fc734f2913b7ae3efb27de4646a3a.png

Once you tap/click the follow button on your post, the forum will notify you if anyone replies or reacts (likes your topic) so that you don't miss a question or answer that someone leaves for you.

NOTE: The same applies if you follow anyone else's topic that you may be interested in (or if you forget to tap/click the follow topic button as you're creating a post). You would then be notified when people post replies in that topic.

  4. Hi Dave!

Welcome to the forum and thanks so much for joining! I had to check out the PDF (even though I'm not a female 😆) and that looks like some well-made, quality apparel. I will definitely refer someone back to you when the occasion presents itself.

  5. Did you know that you can change the theme (colors) of the forum? There are two themes to choose from.

    1) Light Mode - This mode is the default theme for this forum, and will be the first theme you see while visiting the forum for the first time.

    780558085_LightMode.thumb.png.c3faaff780d42cd52121731976912524.png

    2) Dark Mode - This theme is available as an alternative to those that prefer a darker theme. (good for night-time viewing or dimly lit rooms)

HINT: You can change the forum theme at any time by scrolling to the very bottom of the current page you're on down to the footer section. There, you can select which theme you prefer by clicking/tapping on 'Theme'.

  6. Did you know that there are two different forum topic list views?

    1) Expanded View - As the name applies, the topic list is expanded to show you a brief preview of the topic contents. You can click on the topic title to see the entire post.

NOTE: This view is turned on by default.

    image.thumb.png.8e6cd3147661a5c30c0c71c09ff27402.png

    2) Condensed View - As the name applies, the topic list view is condensed so that you can see more posts on a single page but without seeing a brief preview of the topic contents.

    image.thumb.png.973da07ff432dabdaed3aa5aed170792.png

HINT: To change the view of the topic feed, all you need to do is select one of the tabs representing each list view as seen in the picture below. The forum will remember your choice (as long as you're signed in) so, it will remain that way until you select the alternate view. These topic view tabs are located on the home page under the forum cards about mid-way down the page.

  7. Hi 👋🏼

If you are looking for a job or have an opening at your business, then you are in the right area. Please keep in mind that this is a brand-spanking-new forum - all shiny and whatnot - so there isn't much content - YET!

However, with your help, we can populate these subforums and help others to find and fill positions.

    • If you are looking for a job - Please select the 'Job Search' subforum where you can post a new topic detailing the kind of work that you are searching for. Try to be as specific as you can about what your availability is, your experience, etc. Then, you may want to enter the 'Job Posting' subforum to see if an employer has posted an opening that you are interested in.
    • If you are posting a job opening - Please select the 'Job Posting' subforum and post a new topic detailing your available positions that you would like to fill. Try to be as specific as you can with information such as company, position title, requirements, expected duties, salary range, etc. Then, you may want to search through the 'Job Search' subforum for anyone that may fill your requirements.
    • As with any section in this forum, you can follow a specific topic with will notify you when there is a new post. This may be more useful for those of you searching for a job.
    • If you have any questions about this procedure, please comment below and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Thank you for your help and have a great day!

  8. Hi 👋🏼

Thank you for visiting the Job Search Subforum!

If you are looking for employment, this is a good place to post your information as well as what type of work you're looking for. Please try to be as specific as you can but please remember that this is a public forum so try not to post sensitive information that you don't want on the internet (phone #, address, etc.). If an employer is interested in contacting you, he/she may PM (Personal Message) you for contact information or may choose to leave their business contact information in a reply.

If you have a resume that you would like to upload to your post, that may be helpful as well.

Thank you for your help and Good Luck!!! 😉

  9. Hi there! 👋

Are we missing a subforum? Do you have a suggestion that could help our forum community? That's Great!

So, by all means... make a new post below and let us know how we can make this environment better so that we all can benefit together.

  10. Hello! I am certain that almost anyone with the internet has been to (or heard of) a forum while looking for help with various topics. Every forum has rules and so must this one. The particular nature of this type of forum doesn't seem like a place that would warrant a list of do's and don'ts but, just in case, here they are.

    Forum Rules:

    1. No Spam!

    What is spamming you ask?
'Spamming is the use of messaging systems to send multiple unsolicited messages to large numbers of recipients for the purpose of commercial advertising, for the purpose of non-commercial proselytizing, for any prohibited purpose, or simply sending the same message over and over to the same user.'

Please do not spam the forums. 😁

We have subforums for introducing yourself/business, Job search/posting, etc. Please use those areas to say hello and post information about yourself and your business.

    2. Do not post copyright-infringing material

Providing or asking for information on how to illegally obtain copyrighted materials is forbidden.

    3. Do not post “offensive” posts, links, or images

Any material which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Material that is sexually or otherwise obscene, racist, or otherwise overly discriminatory is not permitted on these forums. This includes user pictures. Use common sense while posting.
This is a forum for business professionals.

    4. Do not cross-post questions

Please refrain from posting the same question in several forums. There is normally one forum that is most suitable in which to post your question.

    5. Remain respectful of other members at all times

All posts should be professional and courteous. You certainly have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective.

However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or position you hold in these forums; you are expected to obey this rule.

Any and all of these rules qualify for an account warning up to an account ban. It is up to you to read these rules and guidelines and so we will assume that while you're here, you agree to them. Please, let's be kind.

  11. Welcome to the Breaking Barriers Forum Community!

We are so glad you're here and look forward to getting to know you. Are you new here?

Simply click the 'Start new topic' button to the upper right and introduce yourself. Let us know how you found us as well as a little bit about yourself.

We thank you for visiting and we hope that, with your help, we can provide a helpful, informative community with an encouraging atmosphere for everyone to hang out and enjoy.

  12. We are happy to provide a list of resources that are always growing. If you would like to see the most current list, please click HERE to be redirected to our web page containing a list of links with a brief description. We will be adding links as we get them so keep checking back for an updated list.
Also, if you have an idea for a resource link, please submit your link in the comment section below this post and we will add them if they meet the criteria. What are the criteria? I'm glad you asked...

    • Please do not submit any inappropriate links.
    • Resources that are needed are links to websites providing benefits, consulting services, business coaching, scholarship programs, etc.
    • If your link is acceptable (meets the criteria) and is not a duplicate of an existing link, we will update our list as soon as we can get to it.
    • Thank you for helping us provide helpful information for everyone.
